Senior cleric urges cooperation between Islamic Seminary, University

Hawzah News Agency (Najaf, Iraq) – Senior Shia cleric Grand Ayatollah Bashir al-Najafi received a group of Muslim minority groups from Britain. During the meeting, the senior cleric remarked, “The West’s inaccurate knowledge of the concept of freedom caused social and health problems within their societies, something that still exist in western countries.”

 

Advising Muslim residents in Western countries, The Shia scholar added, “Life in the West must be accompanied by preserving your religious beliefs and adherence to genuine Islamic teachings so that Muslim minorities are able to reach felicity in this life and hereafter.”

 

The Shia source of emulation further reiterated, “In order for one to purify his or her soul, they must follow divine rules and adhere to genuine Islamic teachers which address people’s personal as well as social life.”

 

 Stressing that scientific and academic centers must carry out studies regarding materialistic science while the Islamic seminary of Najaf is involved in promoting spiritual and religious science, Grand Ayatollah al-Najafi demanded more cooperation between these academic and Islamic centers in order to serve the needs of all mankind.”
