Ayatollah Taskhiri said, “Without proximity, Takfiri and deviant groups like Daesh would emerge, when the path of proximity will lead to the unity of the Islamic Ummah.“

Hawzah News Agency (Tehran, Iran) –  At a special convention which was held at the University of Islamic Denominations to mark the week of research, Ayatollah Mohammad Ali Taskhiri head of the Supreme Council of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought and consultant of Iran’s supreme leader on the Islamic world affairs made some remarks about the importance of proximity activities in today world and said, “Proximity of Islamic schools of thought has become an indisputable fact and everyone have come to realize the reality of this matter.”

He asserted, “In the past, some criticized that the word ‘Proximity’ (Taghrib) does not exist in any of the verses of Qur'an or hadith of Ahl al-Bayt (as), but the roots of Proximity are in the rationality of Islam and Qur'an.”

Stating that the root of proximity of Islamic schools of thought is logical dialogue, the Muslim cleric stressed, “In many verses of Quran, a comprehensive logical theory can be seen.”
