"We were not surprised by Donald Trump's al-Quds plan backed by some Muslim Arab countries in the region that always support the Zionist Regime," said head of Int'l Union of Resistance Scholars.

Hawzah News Agency (Beirut, Lebanon) – Lebanese cleric Sheikh Muhammad Hussein al-Haj received head of the International Union of Resistance Scholars Sheikh Maher Hammoud in Beirut on Tuesday.

The Lebanese clerics had a meeting during which they discussed present issues in the Islamic world including the future trends regarding the life of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) as well as President Trump's recent Jerusalem move.

At the beginning of the meeting, Sheikh Muhammad Hussein al-Haj asserted, "Speaking about Islam must be based on the life of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) and his valuable teachings in order to find the right path of religion; it's because the extremists who claim to be Muslims are tarnishing the image of pure Islam."

Head of the International Union of Resistance Scholars Sheikh Maher Hammoud also made remarks saying, "We were not surprised by Donald Trump's al-Quds plan backed by some Muslim Arab countries in the region that always support the Zionist Regime."

"We must now come up with certain solutions to address these endless challenges since holding rallies and condemnations do not suffice." Lebanese cleric added.

He also elaborated on the history of Islamic Resistance and the wars imposed on them by the Zionist Regime saying, "The Islamic Resistance, regardless of enemy's severe attempts, has been developing."

"Despite the unrest and conspiracies going on in our region, we are hopeful that Al-Quds will soon be liberated." head of the International Union of Resistance Scholars concluded.
