Poems are rehearsed in Qom in honor of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH

Holy city of Qom hosted a ceremony with Shia and Sunni thinkers in attendance so as to commemorate the Unity Week and the birthday anniversary of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh).

Hawzah News Agency (Qom, Iran) - Holy City of Qom hosted a ceremony with Shia and Sunni thinkers in attendance so as to commemorate the unity week and the birthday anniversary of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) and Imam Sadeq (pbuh).

Addressing the ceremony, Secretary General of the World Forum for Proximity of the Islamic Schools of Thought, Ayatollah Mohsen Araki placed stress on the necessity of abiding by Islam Prophet's (pbuh) lifestyle

and teachings.



"In order to be able to achieve our goals in the world and the life hereafter, we must make efforts in accordance with the instructions of Islam and Prophet Muhammad's teachings," stressed the religious cleric.

President of Iran top unity center hailed Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) as a perfect role model for human kind and a beacon of inspiration for all Muslims.



Ayatollah Mohsen Araki went on to stress that undying love to Islam Prophet (pbuh) can unite Muslims from all sects and denominations.

Secretary General of the World Forum for Proximity of the Islamic Schools of Thought highlighted Muslims through teachings offered by Prophet Muhammad's (pbuh) household can flourish your talents and make

inroad in various areas.



Ayatollah Araki hoped that the occasion ushers in expanded bonds of fraternity among Muslim nations and said Muslim countries had to avail themselves of the Prophet’s legacy of devotion to further introduce Islam’s

visage of mercy to the rest of the world.

It is noteworthy that during the event, poems were recited and sermons delivered in honor of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) and Imam Sadeq (as).



In this regard, President of Iran top unity center stressed, "Poetry is derived from human's emotions, and that is the main reason why it is so much influential among people."

The Prophet of Islam (pbuh) was born on the 17th day of the lunar calendar month of Rabi-ul-Awwal in 570 CE. This year, the day fell on Saturday, when the faithful rejoiced nationwide.

 

The birth date of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) coincides with that of Imam Jafar Sadiq (PBUH), the Sixth Shia Imam.

According to the Sunni narrative, the birth date of the Prophet (pbuh) falls on Rabi-ul-Awwal 12. As per a call made by the late Founder of the Islamic Republic Imam Khomeini, the week in between the two dates is

marked each year as “the Islamic Unity Week” to promote convergence among Muslims.



During this week, the followers of the two main branches of Islam gather to honor Islam’s message of peace and humanity and express their love and affection for their Prophet (pbuh).
