Hawzah News Agency (Qom, Iran) – In a message, senior Shia cleric Ayatollah Ahmad Khatami congratulated the Muslim community over the victory of Islamic Resistance forces against ISIS (or Daesh)‌ which marked the end of the terrorist group in the region.

The statement reads:

In the Name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful

By the grace of Allah Almighty, the life of self-proclaimed ISIS in Iraq and Syria came to an end. Certainly, these victories are the result of Iranian Supreme Leader’s guidelines, the military leadership of courageous commander Major General Qassim Soleymani, Iraqi military and popular mobilization forces as well as Islamic Resistance forces in Syria.

The US and European countries formed the so-called Anti-ISIS Coalition which was a mere lie. They were never willing to fight ISIS terrorists and never did so; rather they supported the terrorist group and tried to keep ISIS alive. So, it’s in our best interest to learn lessons from this experience and never trust US and European governments.
