Learning Quran initiative phone line in Turkey

An initiative in Turkey’s Konya province to teach the Quran via telephone and answer people questions about religion has been received well.

Hawzah News Agency (Konya, Turkey) -An initiative by the Dar al-Ifta department in Turkey’s Konya province to teach the Quran via telephone has been received well.

The Dar al-Ifta department has launched a telephone line for people to call the department’s experts and asked their questions on learning the Quran.

 

"I Want to Learn the Quran" is the title of the initiative.

People not only from the province but also from other parts of Turkey and even other countries have called to get help in their Quran learning process.

 

According to Ali Aqbinar, the Mufti of the province, some 3000 people have so far used the opportunity to enhance their Quranic skills.

Turkey is a Muslim majority country in West Asia. Some 99 percent of the country’s population adhere to Islam.
