Hawzah News Agency (Tabriz, Iran) – In the second day of the 8th regional meeting of the Society of Seminary Teachers that was held at the Imam Khomeini grand Mosalla (prayer hall) in the Iranian city of Tabriz, Ayatollah Alireza Arafi, Head of the Iranian Islamic Seminary said, “We will highlight the results of this meeting and will work towards their realization.”
Ayatollah Arafi remarked, “The Islamic seminary should institutionalize the religious culture in Iran and the world. Recognizing the epistemic equations of the day is the most important mission of the seminary, today.”
Referring to the material culture that is ruling the modern world, he stated, “Western philosophy, Western humanities and Western lifestyles are still dominant in the world's universities, scientific and cultural centers and the human social system, but the Islamic Revolution wants to lead mankind to a novel civilization.”
Ayatollah Arafi urged Islamic seminaries to generate ideas to answer the needs of the society.
