Egyptian Mufti calls global support for religious sanctities

Top Egyptian Mufti slammed desecration of al-Aqsa Mosque by the Zionist regime, calling human rights bodies to support Islamic sanctities

Hawzah News Agency (Cairo, Egypt) - Shawki Allam, top Egyptian Mufti, has called international bodies and human rights organizations for immediate support of religious sanctities and taking serious measures to defend al-Aqsa Mosque.


 
In his remarks on the 48th anniversary of arson attack on al-Aqsa
 Mosque, he said,” To continue the Zionist operations in crackdown of the Palestinian civilians are clear disregard of religious feelings of world Muslims leading the region towards sectarian clashes.”

 


 
He stressed that the measures by Zionist regime has removed all solutions to for inclusive peace and fair agreement in the region based on two-state solution.


 
Egyptian Mufti also referred to repercussions of continuing crackdown of Palestinian nation by Zionists, preventing Friday prayers in al-Aqsa Mosque and installing security gates around the holy mosque.

 


 
The Sunni scholar stressed necessity of halting provocative moves, disrespecting religious leaders, Islamic sanctities and holy sites including al-Aqsa and stressed,” Zionist moves towards al-Quds is sacrilege of the 
most important place for all Muslims.”


 
Shaqki Allam demanded immediate action to support religious sanctities, playing certain role in defending al-Aqsa Mosque and also applying the agreements and international regulations on sacred places.
