Syrian Army, Hezbollah Tighten Noose around ISIL in Western Qalamoun

The Syrian army and resistance fighters tightened the noose around ISIL (or Daesh) terrorists along the contact lines at al-Jarajeer and Qara barrens in Western Qalamoun in Damascus countryside.

Hawzah News Agency (Damascus, Syria)‌ - The allied forces controlled the heights of Yunus, the Wadi al-Dab, the first Mahabas division, the Harf al-Hashishat, after the Qurnat al-Hashishat after suffering ISIL terrorists heavy losses, Hezbollah military media center reported.

According to a military source in Damascus, the Syrian Arab Army and National Defense Forces (NDF) sent a large convoy of reinforcements to the western slopes of the Qalamoun Mountains to beef up their numbers in the region.

The primary objective of this offensive will be to expel the ISIL terrorist organization from the Jarajeer and Qara barrens, which they had controlled since 2015.
