Ayatollah Araki: 'Identity of the Islamic Ummah is under threat

Hawzah News Agency (Tehran, Iran)- Making his remarks in the Islamic Consolidation Conference mounted in Tehran with Iranian and Azerbaijani intellectuals in attendance, the Secretary General of the World Forum for Proximity of the Islamic Schools of Thought, Ayatollah Mohsen Araki urged Muslims to preserve their identity.



"​The identity of the Islamic Ummah, in the here and now, is under threat," pointed out Ayatollah Araki demanding Muslims to be much more vigilant at all times of the plots and schemes hatched by enemeis.   

"Nation with no unitary identity do not have the will to progress," stressed the President of Iran top unity body sternly warned religious clerics and thinkers of the risks that threaten the identity of the Islamic Ummah.



"The identity of the Islamic society represents, in actual fact, the personality of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), and each group enjoying such identity, are the sons of the Prophet (pbuh), and Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) is their parent and father," highlighted the religious cleric.

The senior religious thinker went on to stress, "When war, confrontation, terrorism and excommunication spread in the Islamic world, it means there stands a gap in the Islamic identity of a part of society."



"All the current problems and setbacks stem in dispersion," pointed out the Secretary General of the World Forum for Proximity of the Islamic Schools of Thought urging Muslims to promote unity and rapprochement so as to solve their unresolved problems.


Along with Secretary General of the World Forum for Proximity of the Islamic Schools of Thought, Head of Supreme Council of Iran top unity body, Ayatollah Mohammad Ali Taskhiri, and International Deputy of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, Manouchehr Mottaki attend the even giving speech.
