Hujjat al-Islam Madani

Head of Jamiat al-Azahra Islamic University asserted that more than 50 thousand Iranians as well as 7000 foreign students have so far graduated from this university in Qom, Iran.

Hawzah News Agency (Qom, Iran) – Hujjat al-Islam Madani had a meeting with the mayor of Qom on Tuesday, July 18. At the beginning of the session, Hujjat al-Islam Madani pointed out the unique position of Qom and urged more developments in the city.

 

The cleric then continued to elaborate on the high status of Jamiat al-Zahra (sa) among Shia seminaries around the world and said, "Jamiat al-Zahra, which is the largest Women Shia seminary in the world, is a memorial of late Imam Khomeini (ra) the founder of Islamic Revolution and is regarded as a source of pride for the Islamic Republic of Iran. Al-Zahra (sa) Islamic University is the only women seminary in Iran whose president is directly appointed by Iranian supreme leader Ayatollah Khamenei.

 

Announcing some of the future programs to develop Jamiat al-Zahra University, Hujjat al-Islam Madani mentioned some of the existing capacities of Jamiat al-Zahra including a kindergarten inside the university campus, establishment of Hoda schools in all educational levels in Qom as well as directing Hoda high schools around the country and the establishment of the University of Science and Islamic Studies in Qom.

 

"The educational scope of this university expands from early childhood education to higher scientific levels and advanced seminary courses." he added.

 

Head of Jamiat al-Zahra also presented some statistics regarding the graduates' population in the university saying, "More than 50 thousand Iranians as well as 7000 foreign students have graduated from Jamiat al-Zahra up to this point."

 

"Expanding our promotional activities worldwide is among the greatest benefits of the largest Shia seminary for women in the world." Madani concluded.
