Hawzah News Agency (Kermanshah, Iran) – In an interview with Hawzah News correspondent in Kermanshah province on Tuesday, Hujjat al-Islam Mahmoud Muhammadi highlighted the urgent need to boost unity within the Islamic world; "Since the dawn of time, Allah (swt) has urged mankind to preserve their unity and solidarity; unity serves as the secret to mankind's felicity."

Member of the Iranian Assembly of Experts further pointed out that unity is regarded as an inseparable part of Islam adding, "It's been witnessed throughout the history of humanity that the societies which lacked unity, regardless of their military or economic power, have eventually fallen apart."

"Late Imam Khomeini (ra), who was among the biggest supporters of peace, was always concerned with the issue of Islamic unity and he used to advise Shia and Sunni Muslims to stand together."

Reiterating that unity is the key to prosperity of the Islamic community, Hujjat al-Islam Muhammadi said, "The unity of Shia and Sunni Muslims in Iran is very strong ,therefore, the enemies  are angry with these conditions and are willing to take any vicious measures to undermine this unity."

"It's been repeatedly emphasized in the Holy Quran that religious sanctities of other religions must be respected and no one is allowed to insult them," Hujjat al-Islam Muhammadi concluded.
