Hujjat al-Islam Husseini, head of al-Mustafa Open University announced the offering of new courses in humanities from October 2017.

Hawzah News Agency (Qom, Iran) – Speaking at the preview session of the International Conference on Cyberspace Capacities for Promoting Religious Teachings held in Qom on Sunday, Hujjat al-Islam Sayyid Mahdi Husseini, head of Al-Mustafa Open University remarked, "Al-Mustafa Open University is the first and largest online center for higher education in the Shia world which is training students from more than 90 different nationalities worldwide."

 

He added, "This online university currently offers Islamic courses in 7 departments; God willing, Al-Mustafa will offer more majors in the field of humanities from October this year."

 

The seminary lecturer went on, "The increasing development of cyberspace as well as the growing need of people to learn divine sciences including Islamic teachings made al-Mustafa University establish such a large academic center that offers courses in 7 internationally-recognized languages including English, Persian, Arabic, French, Urdu, Azeri and Turkish; Three more languages (Swahili, Malay and Spanish) will be added to our syllabus from September 2017."

 

Pointing out that more than 50 thousand students have mastered Persian language by attending al-Mustafa Open University's classes, Hujjat al-Islam Husseini concluded, "The Persian language and literature department of Al-Mustafa is among the most prestigious centers to teach Persian language in the world."
