"The people of Iraq brought about victory in Mosul"

The Shia source of emulations issued a message to congratulate Iraqi forces on their recent victory over ISIS (or Daesh) terrorists in Mosul. //"It was the people of Iraq who brought about this epic victory through their sacrifices"

Hawzah News Agency (Najaf, Iraq) – Grand Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani issued a message to Iraqi forces to congratulate them on recapture of Mosul from ISIS takfiri terrorists. The message was released by Grand Ayatollah's representative, Sheikh Abdul Mahdi al-Karbalai.

Brigadier General Abdul Ghani al-Asadi delivered the Shia source of emulations' statement to Iraqi forces in Mosul.

During his last week's Friday Prayer sermon, Sheikh Abdul Mahdi al-Karbalai highlighted that the real winners in this triumph are the people of Iraq and the brave Iraqi soldiers.

"It was the people of Iraq who brought about this epic victory through their sacrifices and thus they are the real winners of this fortunate event." Al-Karbalai concluded.
