Ayatollah Muhammad Hussein Ahmadi Faqih

Lecturer at the seminary of Qom said that imperialist powers created and supported the Wahhabi doctrine aiming to sow discord within Muslim community.

Hawzah News Agency (Qom, Iran) – Ayatollah Muhammad Hussein Ahmadi Faqih had in interview with Hawzah News on the anniversary of Jannat al-Baqi's demolition by Al Saud in the 20th century in which he remarked, "The Wahhabi mercenaries demolished Jannat al-Baqi On 8th of Shawwal in the year 1345 AH (April 21, 1925). In the same year, the Wahhabis occupied the city of Mecca, later they invaded Medina and demolished Jannat al-Baqi and our holy Imams' (as) graveyards. By carrying out such inhumane crimes, the Wahhabis became hated by Muslims, especially Shias forever.

The seminary lecturer further pointed out that the imperialist powers created and supported the Wahhabi doctrine aiming to sow discord within Muslim community. "Basically, The UK created Wahhabi doctrine to create division within Muslim community; we all know the fact that, throughout history, Shia and Sunni Muslims have lived side by side in a peaceful cohabitation and they respected each other's beliefs and ideas."
