Iraq’s Popular Forces Continue Striking ISIL Terrorists in Hadhar’s Vicinity

The Iraqi Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) continued striking ISIL (or Daesh) terrorists in Hadhar county which lies in southern Mosul city.

Hawzah News Agency (Mosul, Iraq) ‌- The PMF units clashed fiercely with ISIL terrorists, killing scores of them, and destroying their vehicles and weaponry and downing one of their drones.

Meanwhile Iraqi Army Chief of Staff has expressed hope that government forces, backed by volunteer fighters from Popular Mobilization Units, will drive Takfiri Daesh terrorists out of their last urban stronghold in the country in less than a month despite the heavy conflicts between the extremists and Iraqi forces in the densely populated Old City of Mosul.

The Iraqi forces took control of eastern Mosul in January after 100 days of fighting, and launched the battle in the west on February 19.
