Pakistani political leader: Terrorism roots in US invasion of Afghanistan

Secretary General of Pakistan's Jamaat-e-Islami party strongly believes that the terrorism which both Afghanistan and Pakistan are facing today has roots in the US invasion of Afghanistan.

Hawzah News Agency - Liaqat Baloch said the US had attacked Afghanistan after 9/11 without any evidence and placed the whole world, particularly this region in a dangerous situation.

He added that the US is responsible for the sufferings of the people of this area.

'The American invasion has destabilized Afghanistan, politically and economically,' he pointed out.

The religious leader expressing his views said that it is the US who should be blamed for the chaos and instability in the region. He said that the US is fighting its own war in the region for past many years creating problems for the people of this area.

Jamaat-e-Islami leader added that the US has created a room for the formation of different terrorists groups inside Afghanistan by destabilizing the country.

“Only because of the US policies in the region we are confronting the menace of terrorism,” he noted.

The political leader said that there is absolutely no problem between Afghanistan and Pakistan and both countries are fully capable to solve their own problems through peaceful dialogue if there is no foreign interference.

Liaqat Baloch believed that the presence of American forces in Afghanistan is aggravating the poor security situation of Afghanistan.

“Peace cannot be restored in Afghanistan while there are foreign forces present in the country,” the JI leader said.

He stressed upon the need for unity among the Muslim countries to counter the US's anti-Islam policies.

The politician also demanded that western countries stop meddling in the affairs of other states and vacate the occupied territories to restore world peace.

End.
