Fresh Rallies Held in Bahrain against Al Khalifa Regime

The Bahraini people once again poured into the streets in various cities across the Persian Gulf country to voice their outrage over the Al Khalifa regime’s continued crackdown on dissent.

Hawzah News Agency - People held demonstrations on Monday night to express their solidarity with Shaykh Isa Qasim, the spiritual leader of the Shiite majority in the Arab country.

The demonstrators reiterated their full support for Shaykh Qasim and imprisoned Shiite clerics and chanted anti-regime slogans.

They emphasized that they will continue their protests until their legitimate demands are met.

In a statement on Saturday, Bahraini religious scholars called on people to participate in nationwide rallies in solidarity with Shaykh Qasim, whose citizenship the Al Khalifa regime has revoked.

“We hereby pledge to shed the last drop of our blood in defense of religious and national leader, Ayatollah Shaykh Isa Ahmad Qasim,” the statement read.
