"If the Bahraini court issues unfair verdicts to convict Shia scholars and revolutionary activists, they should be expecting Bahraini citizens' overwhelming response." said Ayatollah Arafi.

Hawzah News Agency (Qom, Iran) – In an interview with Hawzah News correspondent during the Iranian seminary students' gathering to voice solidarity with the people of Bahrain, Ayatollah Alireza Arafi, head of the Islamic seminaries, called this gathering a manifestation of the seminaries' concerns over the terrible conditions of Shias in Bahrain saying, "The legitimate demands of Bahraini Shias' have been responded by Al Khalifah's inhumane and oppressive measures; unfortunately, Bahraini rulers propaganda on human rights has proven to be insincere."

The Senior Iranian cleric expressed hope that holding such solidarity gatherings would make Bahrain's rulers listen to their citizens' call for justice and respect Bahraini Shias' legitimate demands in supporting Ayatollah Shaykh Isa Qasim, their spiritual leader.

In the end, Head of the Iranian Islamic seminaries warned the Al Khalifah regime by saying, "If the Bahraini court issues unfair verdicts to convict Shia scholars and revolutionary activists, they must expect an overwhelming response from the citizens of Bahrain."
