Ayatollah Javadi Amoli

“Worshiping is the only way for mankind to reach utmost human dignity;” said Ayatollah Javadi Amoli.

Hawzah News Agency (Qom, Iran) – In his course of Quranic interpretation in Qom’s Grand Mosque, Ayatollah Abdullah Javadi Amoli, a senior Shia cleric, said, “ A science is considered religious only when it is in accordance with Allah’s action; fields such as geology, astronomy, oceanography, … deal with Allah’s intentions and are therefore considered as religious sciences.”

The Shia source of emulation further remarked,” If a person’s action is in accordance with Allah’s demands, it’s considered a religious practice; otherwise it has nothing to do with religion.”

Elsewhere in his remarks, Ayatollah Javadi Amoli emphasized on the significance of human prayers saying, “Worshipping is the only way for mankind to reach utmost human dignity; prayer is a form of human worship and it’s strongly recommended in Islamic narrations that prayers serve as a means for mankind to approximate Allah (swt) and gain human dignity.”
