Hawzah News Agency - ISIS group is transporting the Kurdish Yezidi girls and young women from central Mosul to the nearby district of Talafar, Nineveh province, which is still held by the extremists, a local official said.
Speaking to BasNews on Tuesday, Ways Nawaf, the administrator for the Yezidi dominated town of Sinjar, said that in addition to the Yezidi women, there are also Shi'ite girls and women among the people who are being moved to Talafar.
Nawaf added that ISIS hopes to use these women as human shield in their battle against the Iraqi forces.
Citing an eyewitness from Talafar, the Kurdish official said the Yezidi women are transported daily in three vehicles and they are the same people who were initially in Talafar but with the onset of Mosul liberation process were moved to Mosul.
In August 2014 thousands of Yezidi women from Sinjar were arrested by the ISIS assailants who used them as sex-slaves.
