Bishop Capucci a pioneer in defending Palestinian Rights

The management center of Iranian Islamic seminaries issued a message of condolence on the demise of Bishop Hilarion Capucci. He was a Syrian Catholic bishop who served as the titular archbishop of Caesarea in the Melkite Greek Catholic Church. He was born in Aleppo, Syria.

Hawzah News Agency (Qom, Iran) – The text of the statement is as follows:

The management center of Iranian seminaries express condolences on the demise of Bishop Hilarion Capucci to the oppressed people of Palestine, the soldiers of the Islamic Resistance as well as all the Christians and freed men and women across the world. We honor the memory of that Christian Spiritual leader.

Bishop Capucci was a spiritual father to the oppressed people of Palestine and served as a symbol of resistance for Palestinians. Despite tolerating years of torture, captivity in the Zionist prisons and getting expelled from his home, he never backed down on his resolve to defend Palestinians’  rights; he persevered to stand up for Palestinian’s demands as their spiritual leader until his last days.

He was a true devotee of late Imam Khomeini, the founder of the Islamic Revolution, a friend to the Iranian nation as well as Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Khamenei; he always expressed his respect for the Iranian people wholeheartedly.

 May God bless his soul
