"The present status of research projects in the Islamic Seminaries is quite promising, but one must not be satisfied with the status quo; therefore, we have set higher objectives and we're moving forward to achieve them." said head of Iranian Seminaries.

Hawzah News Agency (Qom, Iran) – In a meeting with supervisors of research centers in Islamic seminaries held in Qom, Iran on Wednesday, December 28, Ayatollah Alireza Arafi asserted,"Research shapes the foundation of Kharij-e-Fiqh courses in seminaries; there are currently 600 Kharij-e-Fiqh courses being held in Iranian Islamic seminaries which attend to different religious fields such as rational sciences, Quranic interpretation, etc."

The senior cleric added,"There are about 3 to 4 thousands scholars in Qom who are presently engaged in respected scientific and research activities."

"As many as 50 new programs have been designed in order to develop our research projects in seminaries; we hope that by realizing these projects, we will further serve the mission of Islamic seminaries." Ayatollah Arafi concluded.
