Chairman of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought stated that the enemies of Islam breed sectarianism and division among the Muslim community as their strongest weapon to fight Islam

Hawzah News Agency- Speaking at the advisory council of the secretary general of the Word Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought in Tehran on Saturday, November 26, Ayatollah Araki, a senior Shia cleric and chairman of the Forum, stressed the importance of Islamic unity and said, "Our enemies today make use of all their facilities and equipment to breed sectarianism and division among Muslim nations, to create civil wars in Muslim countries, and to trigger Muslims to engage in bloodshed and killing of one another, these facts all go to prove that the issue of Islamic Proximity is of great importance."

 

Stating that the enemies of Islam breed sectarianism and division among Muslim community as their strongest weapon to fight Islam, The Shia cleric added, "However, the most practical strategy to overcome Islam's adversaries and their vicious plots is to strengthen the Islamic unity and bond."

 

Elsewhere in his remarks, Ayatollah Araki said that in today's world we must increase our field activities in order to fight the present threats, "Since the scope and strength of our enemies' destructive plots have increased, it's only wise that the strength and impact of the activities that help religious proximity to thrive must also be developed." he added.

 

Referring to the Iranian supreme Leader's command to activate the diplomacy of unity among the Muslim nations, Ayatollah Araki added, "We need to focus our efforts on the diplomacy of unity and that's what paves the way for a unified Islamic Ummah."

 

 In the end of the meeting, Manoucher Mottaki, Deputy of International affairs at the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, presented a report on the outcomes of the 30th international conference on Islamic Unity.
