Massive Free Zakzaky protest in Kano, Nigeria

A massive protest calling for the immediate and unconditional release of the leader of the Islamic movement in Nigeria, His Eminence Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky was held on Friday (16th September, 2016) after Friday prayers in the city of Kano, Nigeria.

Hawzah News Agency-The protest march conducted under the leadership of Shaikh Adamu Tsoho followed some major streets of Kano Central Business District that include Murtala Muhammad way, Ibrahim Taiwo and ended at Kano Silver jubilee square.

The protesters carrying various placards extending Eid Adha messages and the call for the unconditional release of Sheikh Zakzaky, who since the Zaria massarce on 12th-14th December, 2015, has been held by the Nigerian government without any charge and whose health condition has been worsening from gun shots and other categories of injuries amongst which is the loss of an eye and the remaining eye condition worsening with no proper medical attention.

At the end of the protest march Sheikh Adamu Tsoho had an interview with media reiterating the demand for the immediate and unconditional release of Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky.
