Jansen called Islam "godless" in the message that he left on the Rev. Christopher Rodkey's voicemail last week. Jansen also posted a picture of the sign in front of St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Dallastown on social media with the church's phone number. The church received numerous calls.

the tweet states. "I do apologize for venting to the church. I was out of line."

Rodkey said he saw the tweet on Monday.

"I'm going to practice forgiveness and move on," he said.

Rodkey said Jansen is still accountable for what he has said and done.

Rodkey said he has received requests for interviews from around the world. He has posted on the church's Facebook page that the church is not accepting media requests at this time. He also posted Jansen's tweet.
