Head of Research Center for Tunisian History

Head of the Tunisian History Research Center stressed on the necessity to develop Islamic countries in terms of modern sciences, especially in applied sciences and he also emphasized on idolizing Iranian development as a successful model among Muslim nations.

The Head of the Tunisian History Research Center: Iran, a good model for scientific growth in the Islamic World

Hawzah News Agency- Head of the Tunisian History Research Center stressed on the necessity to develop Islamic countries in terms of modern sciences, especially in applied sciences and he also emphasized Iranian development should be admired as a successful model among Muslim nations.

Dr.Fouzi Mahfouz, took part in the conference ‘Scientific and cultural opportunities of universities and research centers of Qom and the Arab world’ which was held in the Office of Islamic Propagations in Qom. He pointed at the necessity to scientific developments of the Islamic world, and added, “Islam with its wonderful background and rich history in pioneering science must not be experiencing current problems in terms of scientific issues,”

 The Tunisian university professor further said, “Nowadays we’re witnessing various challenges in terms of scientific issues in the Islamic world, therefore, we must make an effort in order to address and analyze these present issues thoroughly,”

Speaking on the fact that currently Islamic countries’ universities are influenced by Western scientific centers and institutions, he said, “We must not let this trend continue any longer, “

“Islamic sciences must be documented by Muslim professors and scholars in Islamic settings and universities, moreover, our knowledge should not be limited only to worshiping and praying issues,”

He also reiterated, “Muslim scientists must deal with present scientific challenges and issues based on Islamic theories and principles. They must also explain religious principles and theories regarding sciences such as, Geography, Chemistry as well as Physics and etc.”

 “In this era, Muslim scientists need to pay attention to Genetics and cloning issues; they have to explain the religious and jurisprudential laws regarding these new sciences which are widespread in different societies,”

 

“It’s necessary to be well-informed about present day issues and requirements, we must take proper action. All human beings including, Muslim or non-Muslim should be subject to observation and studies, we have to come up with appropriate answers in response to their growing inquiries. We must explain and clarify Quranic teachings to them,”

The Tunisian University Professor went on, “In order to accomplish this great objective we must cooperate with each other and act united, it is well-understood that Islamic Republic of Iran has always been a pioneer in this field, we should be inspired by Iranians efforts and try to progress ourselves in analyzing Islamic and Human sciences,”
