‎ World expresses unity for Sheikh Zakzaky freedom

Releasing a statement in support of Sheikh Ibrahim Zakzaky, the Management Centre of Islamic Seminary wrote.

Hawzah News Agency - Supporters of the leader of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN) Sheikh Ibrahim Zakzaky will  get together to protest against the oppression against Nigerian Shia leader after this Friday prayer.

Releasing a statement in support of Sheikh Ibrahim Zakzaky, the Management Centre of Islamic Seminary wrote: "Why should such a catastrophe be raised about Sheikh Ibrahim Zekzaki in which about one thousand people get killed and Sheikh's children become martyred and the Muslim world remains silent? The goals of the enemies of Islam are very dangerous and it's for all Muslims to be awake.

London to hold sit-in for the sheikh

Supporters of the illegally detained leader of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria are to start a three-day sit-in in London on Thursday as they ramp up the campaign for the beleaguered sheikh to receive urgently needed life-saving medical treatment.

The protest is being jointly organised by Islamic Human Rights Commission (IHRC), Inminds and AIM and will take place outside the Nigerian High Commission in London, the UK starting at 9.30pm.

New, more detailed medical examinations on the beleaguered sheikh revealed this week that the levels of lead toxicity in his body are much higher than the critical levels previously reported and 45 times over the normal acceptable limit. They also revealed dangerous levels of cadmium poisoning in the sheikh.

Doctors concluded that Sheikh Zakzaky is at risk of death unless he is urgently treated. With the necessary treatment not being available in Nigeria, they have recommended that he be flown outside the country to a reputable medical centre.

Turkey Calls for the protection of Sheikh Zakzaky

Also, a group of Muslims in Turkey called for supporting Sheikh Ibrahim Zakazaky asking people to rally on Saturday in front of a new mosque in Istanbul (Yeni Cami) in the Eminönü region.

At the end of the gathering, the participants will emphasize the need for the release of Sheikh Zakzaky.

The critical condition of the Sheikh

Fresh information coming out of Nigeria indicates that the sheikh has now also lost the use of one of his legs.
