Hawzah News Agency (Qom, Iran) – Hujjat al-Islam Muhammad Taqi Sobhani, director of Imamate Cultural Foundation in a press conference which was held in Hawzah News Agency location, on the occasion of the unveiling of new translation of al-Ghadir's book said: “The Cultural Foundation of Imamate is responsible for translating the valuable book of the great Allameh Amini by the name of al-Ghadir and thankfully all 11 volumes of the book have been translated.”
Director of Imamate Cultural Foundation noted: “The official unveiling ceremony of the translation of the valuable book of al-Ghadir will be held at Eid Ghadir Khumm this year in the presence of the scientific figures of the country. And we will begin this movement in order to introduce the personality of Allameh Amini during the next year and to work well in the field of Ghadirology.”
Al-Ghadir's Valuable Book Features
Hujjat al-Islam Sobhani stated: “Al-Ghadir is a literary, historic, anecdotal, and sociological study, which, if anyone reads this valuable book meticulously, will notice these points.”
“In the past, scholars and prominent writers tried to translate this book and successfully translated it and published it, but the previous translation of this work had many problems, so that almost that translation could not show the position of al-Ghadir to Persian speakers.” He reiterated.
Al-Ghadir's previous translation errors
Referring to the translation errors of the valuable book of al-Ghadir, he pointed out: “the existence of various writers, the lack of translation of parts of this book, the lack of translation or inadequate translation of the poems of this book as one of its most important parts, the lack of mastery of translators in Persian or Arabic language, and ... etc. are among issues with the previous Farsi translation of this book.”
Managing Director of Imamate Cultural Foundation added: “Fortunately 10 years ago, a group of enthusiasts in the Imamate and the Wilaya decided to translate this great work. Dr Seyyed Abolqasem Hosseini Zhrfa was responsible for translating this work. Also from the very beginning, Hujjat al-Islam Seyyed Mehdi Nabavi as one of the well-known professors of Arabic language supervised this task.”
It should be noted that al-Ghadir's book is about proof of Imamate of Imam Ali (A.S) after the Prophet of Islam and the book has devoted to this important task in a fluent language and away from insulting to others.
