Hawzah News Agency (Tehran, Iran) - Addressing the open session of parliament on Tuesday, Ali Larijani said US President Donald Trump should realize that applying political and military pressures against people of the region only draws the regional nation's decisive reaction.

Referring to the "dirty money" spent in Lebanon by the US, Israel and their followers in the region, he said despite all such attempts, the Lebanese people reiterated their no to the US and Israel through their votes.

He also congratulated Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, Lebanese President Michel Aoun and his Lebanese counterpart Nabih Berri on the outcome of the elections in the Arab country.

On Sunday, Lebanese people voted for their favorite candidates competing for 128 parliamentary seats.

Hezbollah and its political allies won more than half of the seats in the polls.
