Ayat. Hakim receives African clerics

Grand Ayatollah al-Hakim advised seminary students to act humble and avoid worldly titles and positions; he also asked them to connect to people and interact with the public in order to make them realize that clerics belong to people and are present among them.

Hawzah News Agency (Najaf, Iraq) – Senior Iraqi cleric Grand Ayatollah Sayyed Muhammad Saeed al-Hakim received a group of African clerics in his office in the holy city on Najaf on Monday, April 16 during which he advised them to seek recourse to Allah almighty and tolerate the hardships they go through while learning Islamic sciences. He also urged them to carry out their religious duty to promote Islamic teachings and values in their home countries in Africa.

 

The Shia source of emulation further invited African students to adhere to good morals of Prophet Muhammad (as) and his successor Imam Ali (as).

 

Grand Ayatollah al-Hakim advised seminary students to act humble and avoid worldly titles and positions; he also asked them to connect to people and interact with the public in order to make them realize that clerics belong to people and are present among them; “This way, through adherence to Prophet Muhammad’s teachings as well as Imam Ali’s (as), you would be able to live up to your religious responsibilities in guiding people toward the righteous path of religion. “ Ayatollah al-hakim addressed the African clerics.
