"The adversaries do not let the news of these massive participations be broadcasted worldwide, but their representatives and ambassadors in Iran will inform their respected governments of the news on these huge popular rallies" said Grand Ayatollah Nasser Makarem Shirazi.

Hawzah News Agency (Qom, Iran) – Speaking at his advanced Islamic jurisprudence course in Qom's Grand Mosque on Monday February 12, senior Shia scholar Grand Ayatollah Nasser Makarem Shirazi hailed Iranians’ participation in revolution rallies on Sunday saying, "The enemies of Islam and Islamic Revolution started their media propagation to convince masses not to take part in these rallies, however Iranians massively participated in this year's rallies with more enthusiasm and passion for their country. Therefore, it's our duty to thank the people of Iran for their huge turnout in these rallies and their support for their government.

The Shia source of emulation further pointed out the heavy media crackdown on these demonstrations by Western and anti-Iran news agencies adding, "Although the adversaries do not let the news of these massive participations be broadcasted worldwide, but at least their representatives and ambassadors in Iran will witness this huge popular rallies and will inform their respected governments later on."

In the end, senior Shia cleric Grand Ayatollah Nasser Makarem Shirazi concluded, "We pray to Allah almighty to protect Muslims worldwide, especially the people of Iran, from the evil plots of the enemies."

It's noteworthy that Millions of Iranians have taken to the streets nationwide to mark the 39th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution in a show of force, just weeks after scattered riots hit several cities and towns.

This year's rallies came after US President Donald Trump cheered the rioters in a volley of tweets which angered many Iranians who view the American leader's entreaties as "hypocritical" after he called Iran a "terrorist nation."
