Head of Fars women seminary

Ayatollah Ali Shaikh Movahhed, head of women Islamic seminaries of Fars said 32 women seminaries are active in this province.

Hawzah News Agency (Shiraz, Iran) – In an interview with Hawzah News' correspondent in Iranian province of Fars, Ayatollah Ali Shaikh Movahhed, head of women Islamic seminaries of Fars said 32 women seminaries are active in this province.

The Shia cleric said most of the employees of Islamic seminaries in Iran, including the management teams and cultural, educational and research deputies, are seminary graduates and reiterated, “The necessity of education of female seminary students has led to a comprehensive movement across the country with the aim of meeting the cultural needs of the community.”

Stating that the Fars province has 3000 female clerics, Ayatollah Shaikh Movahhed stressed on the importance of women carrying out Islamic propagation especially for women and referred to female clerics’ activities at schools and on TV.

Head of women seminaries of Fars mentioned enemies’ claim that Hijab prevents women from scientific progress and asserted, “Progress of female clerics is the best answer to these claims.”
