Charity Institute to Distribute ۴۰۰۰ Quran Copies in Braille

A Qatari institute plans to distribute 4000 packages containing Quran copies in braille among the visually impaired in Tunisia, Turkey, Britain and Morocco. Every package has an electronic talking pen which enables the users to select and listen to the Quranic verses as well.

Hawzah News Agency (Doha, Qatar) - Qatar Charity plans to distribute 4000 packages containing Quran copies in braille among the visually impaired in Tunisia, Turkey, Britain and Morocco, they are distributed on the occasion of White Cane Safety Day. The copies in the packages, titled "Basirah Mushaf", have been published in cooperation with a Malaysian company.

They have a list of the Surahs of the Quran in braille and an electronic talking pen which enables the users to select and listen to the Quranic verses as well.

 

The packages also include Quran recitations by eminent Qaris, meaning of Quranic terms, Shaan Nuzul (reasons of the revelation), etc.

The charity institute has since 2014 distributed 6000 copies of the Mushaf in braille among the visually impaired in Indonesia, Sudan, Bangladesh and Qatar.

 

White Cane Safety Day is celebrated on October 15 of each year since 1964. The date is set aside to celebrate the achievements of people who are blind or visually impaired.
