Bangladeshi Boy Memorizes Quran in ۸۶ Days

An 11-year-old boy in Bangladesh managed to learned the entire Quran by heart in just 86 days. Bangladesh is a South Asian country where memorizing the Quran is very common among the younger generation

Hawzah News Agency (Dhaka, Bangladesh)‌ - According to the Iranian Cultural Center in Dhaka, Yaseen Irfan, who is now in 6th grade started memorizing the Holy Book last year.

He would memorize seven pages of the Quran every day and review what he had previously learned as well.

 

A ceremony was recently held by the IQRA Quran Recitation Institute to honor the young boy for his achievement.

Addressing the ceremony, top Bangladeshi Qari and head of the institute Ahmed Bin Yusuf said he has travelled to many countries and attended international Quranic events for many years but has not seen a Quran memorizer with such a brilliant talent.

 

He said Yaseen Irfan is a source of honor not only for his hometown of Cox's Bazar but for the entire country.

Bangladesh is a South Asian country where memorizing the Quran is very common among the younger generation.

 

The Holy Quran is the only religious scripture that is memorized by its followers.

Innumerable persons in every Muslim community have memorized the Quran since the first day it was revealed.

 

The Quran has 30 Juzes (parts), 114 Surahs (chapters) and 6,236 verses.
