Hawzah News Agency (Najaf, Iraq) – Hujjat al-Islam Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim issued a statement on Tuesday in which he congratulated Grand Ayatollah Sistani on the Iraqi forces' recent recapture of Mosul from ISIS terrorists. "Mosul liberation paves the way to strengthen national understating in Iraq," the statement read.

Addressing the brave Iraqi nation he asserted, "The divine promise has now been realized and we could finally liberate our country from ISIS terrorists by following the fatwa (religious order) of great Shia sources of emulation."

Head of National Iraqi Alliance added, "We cannot tolerate extremism and sectarianism; we proved the fairness and endurance of our military forces to the whole world; now we congratulate this great victory to Grand Ayatollah al-Sistani and pay a sincere tribute to all our martyrs and wounded soldiers in the fight against terrorists."
