Armenian Bishop: Imam Khomeini's Personality remains Alive

Speaking at the conference held to commemorate late Imam Khomeini (ra), Bishop Nathan Hvansian asserted that Imam Khomeini (ra) always remains alive since his human ideas are everlasting.

Hawzah News Agency (Yerevan, Armenia) – Simultaneously with 28th demise anniversary of late Imam Khomeini (ra) a conference was held in Armenian Capital to commemorate Late Imam Khomeini's great character and doctrine.

 

Keynote speakers of the event were Archbishop Nathan Hvansian of the Armenian Church, Mr Majid Meshki, Iranian cultural commissioner in Armenia as well as several other prominent cultural and religious figures.

 

At the beginning of the conference, Mr Veskanian, professor of Iranology at Yerevan State University, made some remarks on the character of late Imam Khomeini (ra) pointing out that the thoughts of that great leader laid the foundation of Modern Iran; he also asserted that Iran's current stability and strength is a result of Imam Khomeini's doctrine.

 

Bishop Nathan Hvansian, vice Archbishop of Armenian Church, was another keynote speaker of the event; during his speech he emphasized late Imam Khomeini's (ra) character as being interreligious and international saying, "Late Imam Khomeini (ra) was not only the leader of Iran's 1979 Islamic Revolution but also he was a man who spread humanistic ideas worldwide."
